Milk Paint Workshop Recap

Wanted to share a little recap from our Milk Paint workshop
and a Milk Painted dresser project (that's just too beautiful not to share).

Our farm stool workshop was a huge hit and a great painting success!
All the stools turned so unique and interesting and awesomely colorful.

Everyone choose their favorite colors to play with.
We painted a top layer of color, let that dry, then added another color
to dabble with some fun layering techniques.

We waxed the seats to show how to get an easy peasy distressed look.

...after!! (we even got the coveted "chippy goodness" to happen during class!!)
Everyone had a great time and learned a ton.
I can hardly wait till our next milk paint get together!!
Join us! We have W A Y too much fun!!!

Feeling uberly inspired after class, I started on this beauty of piece.
I'd been dying to use Artissimo on something and this piece was a PERFECT candidate!
I have a beachy, Summery vignette adorning the front of shop. This dresser in deep, rustic & rich Artissimo blue will fit right into the mix!
I just love the ornate carving on the doors.
They really highlight the depth of color and tonal variance of milk paint so nicely.

I used some black rub n' buff on the existing pulls and
added black melon knobs to complete the look.

This lovely piece left the shop in less than a day.
Can't wait to get photos from the happy new owner!!

Want to learn more about milk paint, furniture painting or other paint tips and advice??
